Children's Privacy (COPPA)

For school accounts, we work with educational institutions who act as the parent/guardian for purposes of COPPA compliance. Schools are responsible for obtaining necessary parental consent.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties who help us operate our platform (hosting, analytics, payment processing)
  • Podcast Directories: When you choose to distribute your podcast (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.)
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

Google User Data

Connecting a Google account to Xogos Audio is always optional, and nothing below happens unless you choose to connect one. You can disconnect at any time from Appointments (Google Calendar) or the Episode Studio (YouTube), or by removing our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

What we access, and why:

  • Google Calendar events (calendar.events): to create and update calendar entries for the interviews and meetings you schedule in Xogos Audio, with the guests you invited as attendees, and to remove those entries when you cancel. We create and modify only the events Xogos Audio made; we do not read your other calendar entries.
  • Your Google email address (userinfo.email): to show you which Google account is connected.
  • YouTube upload (youtube.upload): to upload the videos you explicitly choose to publish from the Episode Studio to your own YouTube channel. We do not read, modify, or delete other videos on your channel.

What we store: the access and refresh tokens Google issues (encrypted in transit and at rest, used only to perform the actions above on your behalf), the connected account's email address, and the identifier of each calendar event we created so we can update or remove it later. We do not store the contents of your calendar or your YouTube library.

Limited Use: Xogos Audio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the features you asked for, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. We do not use Google user data to train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and no human reads it except with your explicit permission, for security purposes, or where required by law.

Deleting it: disconnecting removes the stored tokens from our systems and revokes our access with Google. Deleting your Xogos Audio account removes them along with the rest of your data. Calendar events already created remain in your own calendar, where they are yours to keep or delete.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Secure authentication and access controls
  • Regular security audits and monitoring
  • Employee training on data protection

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
